有着坚强的中心意志的人，在社会中一定能够占得重要的位置，并为他人所敬仰。他的言语行动，表现出有定力、有作为、有主见、有生命之目标，而又必求达到其目标。他坚定地朝着目标前进，有如急矢之趋向红心。在这样的一种意志之下，一切的阴影都会消融逝去了。

目标的认清，意志的坚定，从这中间，是可以生出一种可以使人成功的力量来的。

假使一个人于某一日，在心中决定了一个新的中心意志，新的生命目标。那么，从那一天起，他就是一个新生的人。他的耳目所接触的四周都已气象一新。昨天还在包围和阻碍他的种种恐惧、狐疑、不快的思想及罪恶的试探，现在烟消雾散了。因为，一个新的.中心意志，已经把那些东西一起赶掉了。他的生命现在是统一而不是混乱，积极而不是消极。他一切的酣睡着的能力，现在是已经唤醒而准备行动了。

有些青年人很想在事业上发愤上进，但为了细故，往往会于一夕之间，抛掉事业，而去迁就环境。他们常常自己怀疑，现在的事业究竟与自己的性情是否适合。他们一遇挫折，就要灰心;一听到别人在别种事业上得到成功，就要生出羡慕，而要想自己也向那方面去试试。

假使一个青年对自己从事的事业态度游移，则可断定，他还没有怀着一个中心意志，他的事业总还与他的天性不尽适合。否则，他的事业，应当与他的中心意志相符，与他的天性相合，而他的事业就是他生命中的一部分，不能分离。

在心中决定一个中心意志，寻觅到最高的生命理想或目标，并且觉得不能不实现，必须实现而后已;不论怎样费力、怎样费时，也仍然不会放弃追求、停止努力。

这是使我们的生命成为有价值与得到胜利的原则!

在这样一个世界里，容易滋生两种人，一种人觉得，能够吊起自己胃口和兴趣的事情太多了，整天想做事情，但却觉得做了这件就耽误了那件，不了解到底哪件事情对自己来说最重要。

我们生活在一个光怪陆离的世界，诱惑花花绿绿，选择太多，可能性太多，让人处于迷失的边缘。
